What are the benefits of hiring an attorney to help with a tax controversy case?
Anytime you are in unfamiliar territory, it is helpful to have a guide. We use our experience and problem-solving skills to guide you through the tax resolution process and help you arrive at the best possible result. The other advantage of hiring an attorney is that you will not need to talk with the IRS. This both prevents you from making any misstatements and gives us more control over how we present information to the IRS.
Can a tax attorney reduce the amount of tax I owe?
It is possible, but we cannot guarantee any specific result, and it depends on the type of case and the facts and circumstances of the case. We will help review your options, including ones that may result in reducing the amount you owe, along with our assessment of your chances of success and any associated risks. You have control over which option is selected for your case, and we then help carry out that option to the best of our ability.
If I hire you, will I have to talk to the IRS?
No. We serve as your point of contact with the IRS, so you never have to talk to them.
Do you prepare tax returns?
Yes. And we specialize in the preparation of back tax returns, especially when many years are missing.
